Salon international d'art. Second edition with the presence of major local galleries and dealers. The fair also devotes a large area to foundations, museum and private collections, as well as independent spaces, acknowledging the dynamism created through dialogue between institutions and curators are also invited to intervene.
Artgenève is a new exhibition of modern and contemporary art, whose first edition in April 2012 was a success, both commercially and in terms of its programming. The second edition will be held from 31st January to 3rd February 2013, a key period for luxury tourism in Geneva and strategic dates in the art fair calendar. Taking place in a refined atmosphere and on human scale, artgenève is a true reflection of Geneva itself, a pleasant city of international renown.
Our aim is to establish an artistic platform in the Suisse Romande - at the very forefront of contemporary & modern art and design – which pays homage to the requirements of the Lake Geneva region’s many collectors and art-lovers. In the first edition this was achieved by the presence of major local galleries and dealers.
Artgenève also devotes a large area to foundations, museum and private collections, as well as independent spaces, acknowledging the dynamism created through dialogue between institutions and galleries. As in the 2012 edition, curators will also be invited to intervene in a generous and original manner.
As for the publishers of books and art magazines, they will have a welcoming and dynamic area placed at their disposal, which will host a series of lectures and performances.
The exhibition’s architecture and layout draw upon this diversity as their inspiration. The compact nature of artgenève makes it easy to visit, and helps promote the exchange of ideas between exhibitors and art-lovers.
