BALTIC?s new artist in residence Lev Manovich, will be using the new media lab and resources at BALTIC from 21 July - 26 September 2003. During his residency, Manovich will continue work on his current commission Soft Cinema, as well as working on new digital film projects.
BALTIC?s new artist in residence Lev Manovich, will be using the new media lab and resources at BALTIC from 21 July - 26 September 2003. During his residency, Manovich will continue work on his current commission Soft Cinema, as well as working on new digital film projects.
Manovich's works have been included in several exhibitions internationally and the ICA, London recently presented a mini retrospective of his work, Lev Manovich: Adventures in Digital Cinema.
An Associate Professor in the Visual Arts Department, University of California, San Diego, Manovich teaches new media art and theory. Since 1984, he has worked with computer media as an artist, computer animator, programmer and designer.
