Here She Comes Now. Portraits of musicians

For this exhibition the artist has chosen to show a specific selection of works: Exclusively and for the first time ever in this combination, portraits of musicians are on view in Baden-Baden. For instance you will encounter David Bowie, Pete Doherty, Jessye Norman or Jonas Kaufmann performing on stage. These portraits attest to Peyton's intensive examination of a most vulnerable but at the same time pivotal moment in the process of artistic creation: the moment in which musicians enter the stage and step in front of the audience. Hence the selected works also reflect creativity as such as much as Elizabeth Peyton's own creative process. Opening: Friday, March 8, 7 PM.
