Exhibited last works by the English artist: four 16mm films and drawings connected with the theme of atmospheric phenomemons
In the exhibition 'Sun Works', the British artist and winner of 2002's Aachen Art Prize shows four 16mm films along with selected drawings, thereby giving a significant insight into her way of working.
In 'Sun Works' she especially focuses on atmospheric phenomenons like those that can be observed during an upcoming eclipse of the sun and that have an immediate effect on the behaviour of animals. With the poetical condensation that is typical of Tacita Dean, she succeeds to find intense images telling us about the disappearance of time and our presence in it.
After her comprehensive solo show in the Musee d'Art Moderne de la ville de Paris and her contribution to the theme exhibition in the Biennial of Venice, she will have her third show in 2003 at a very central place: in the center of the exhibition hall a special film box will be erected.
There will be a post-card edition of 'Sun Works' available.
