On the programme, Open Studio Evening and Open Studio Day. Guests are invited to discover more than 30 Art and Creative Spaces in this fast-growing industrial arts district.
The Chai Wan creative community represents an important district within the Hong Kong arts scene. Vibrant and energetic, Chai Wan holds among the most creative and alternative minds.
Now in its second consecutive year, Chai Wan Mei is back this May to celebrate the first edition of Art Basel Hong Kong and showcase the best of Chai Wan and this creative neighbourhood. On the programme, Chai Wan Mei Art & Design: Open Studio Evening (Friday, May 24th) and Open Studio Day (Saturday, May 25th).
Chai Wan Mei Art & Design: Open Studio Evening is a late night opening reception celebrating art and creativity in Chai Wan and Chai Wan Mei Art & Design: Open Studio Day pursues this journey of discovery in the sun light. This is an adventurous initiative to throw open the doors of Chai Wan's creative industrial areas to the public during one of the most energetic times of the year for art.
Guests are invited to discover more than 30 Art and Creative Spaces in this exciting and fast-growing industrial arts district – one of Hong Kong's best-kept secrets – through an array of exhibitions, performances, pop-up art installations, open-air video screenings, design, fashion and more. All of these specially curated for one unique and unforgettable week-end.
