Now in its fourth year, the Pump House Gallery has established this stimulating annual survey as an immediate take on the work of new graduate artists that gives a wider audience the opportunity to see some of the best of the recent degree shows.

Richard Hylton, Charlotte Mullins and Jeremy Theophilus have been invited to curate this year's exhibition, providing three distinct personal and professional perspectives, each selection occupying one entire floor of the gallery.

Working for Autograph, The Association of Black Photographers, Richard Hylton curated many projects including Brown Leatherette by Jimmy Roberts (2002) and The Two of Us (2001) - shown here at the Pump House Gallery. He also edited Album Pacifica by Mohini Chandra (2000) and The Best of Janette Parris (2002). Other projects include Imagined Communities (1996) and Tampered Surfaces: 6 Artists from Pakistan (1995). Charlotte Mullins is a writer, editor and broadcaster. She is the new editor of the V&A magazine and is contemporary art critic for The Financial Times. She is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4's Front Row, and Radio 3's Nightwaves. Currently she is writing a book on Rachel Whitread. Jeremy Theophilus trained as a sculptor and stage designer before developing his career as a gallery director in the public sector, including The Minories, Colchester and Oriel Mostyn, Llandudno. He has written and curated for the crafts as well as working as a specialist gallery consultant. He has recently completed 10 years at the Arts Council of Great Britain and has just launched his own gallery The Outfitters in Margate.
