comunicato stampa

CHICAGO—EXPO CHICAGO, The International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art, announces the following list of premier galleries that will exhibit September 19 – 22 at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall (600 E. Grand Ave). After a successful inaugural year, EXPO CHICAGO, under the leadership of President and Director Tony Karman releases the 2013 exhibitor list of 120 leading galleries representing 16 countries and 34 cities from around the world. Chosen by the 2013 selection committee comprised of Rhona Hoffman Rhona Hoffman Gallery (Chicago), Michael Kohn Michael Kohn Gallery (Los Angeles), Anthony Meier Anthony Meier Fine Arts (San Francisco) and Chris D’Amelio David Zwirner (London, New York), these galleries present the best in contemporary and modern art.

“We are extremely proud of the international galleries and artists that will be participating in our second edition,” said Karman. “This exceptional list of dealers represents a broad survey of leading contemporary and modern artwork, furthering our pledge to produce an exposition that adds to the rich cultural legacy of our city,” he added. “With the continued support of our civic leaders, cultural institutions, galleries, collectors and artists, along with the numerous special exhibitions, events and performances that are planned to coincide with EXPO CHICAGO, I am confident that many international calendars will be marked for Chicago this year.”

EXPO CHICAGO welcomes the return of the world’s leading galleries for the second year of the exposition while also introducing galleries new to Chicago. Sixteen countries from around the world will be presented at the 2013 exposition and include: Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.
