The first retrospective to explore the work of this pioneering Los Angeles, whose groundbreaking fusion of sculpture with performance is defined by controversial combinations of pop-culture clichés, social taboos, and art historical references. Organized by Lisa Phillips and Dan Cameron, the exhibition will premier at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles October 29, 2000 - January 21, 2001, and will include drawings, videos, sculptures, and installations spanning the last 25 years.
