Between Egypt and Indonesia. A very personal universe where dreams, macabre and satire unite at the edge of political correctness.
Cane is the solo project of one of the members of the collective Frederik Garcia. This new series of works entitled "Between Egypt and Indonesia" shows the characteristic style of the first illustrative series "Forgive" 2012. Scenes in black and white, based on textured characters, expressionless and hieratic, tattooed with random symbols... ultimately, all that rattles in the imagination of this singular artist. The result of this creative brainstorming is then a very personal universe where dreams, macabre and satire unite at the edge of political correctness. "Between Egypt and Indonesia" is also a tribute to fanzines. Each work, each vignette tells a story, often absurd, but imbued with the favorite themes of the artist: philosophy, physics, and anthropology.
