The ninth edition of the show features work by ten talented young artists, who are completing their two-year working period at De Ateliers this summer. Artists: Cian-Yu Bai, Jacob Dwyer, Paul Geelen, Sarah-Jane Hoffmann, Ruben Kragt, Mila Lanfermeijer, Charlotte Louen, Ana Navas, Mike Pratt, Taocheng Wang. Curator: David Jablonowski, tutor artist. De Ateliers is an independent artists' institute founded in 1963. It focuses on the artistic development of young, talented artists from within the Netherlands and abroad. The monumental building in the center of Amsterdam offers twenty-three spacious studios. These are placed at the disposal of beginning artists who wish to combine intensive self-motivation with critical guidance. De Ateliers is not an educational institution. Its policy as a foundation is determined by the supervising artists. The exhibition catalogue is designed by Mislav Zugaj, the texts are written by Maaike Lauwaert. Opening: Tuesday, May 20th, 5-7pm.
