The Rizhoma.gallery is pleased to renew its interest in the British and Irish Photography presenting the exhibition entitled BRIRISH | The Different ways of feeling at documentary photography , curated by Martina Colajanni , in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Paler...mo and the Department of Photography of Lecturer Sir. Sandro Scalia .
This project brings together the most significant part of the British and Irish Contemporary Photography thanks to the testimony of some of its authors at the time no longer active.
By the work of Paul Cabuts , Ken Grant, Fergus Heron , Shane Lynam , Alexander Norton , Luke Boland and Michael Alberry we try to draw a comparison between different generations of photographers who approach the photographic instrument but differ in socio-cultural context , language and themes.
The exhibition will take place on May 15th at 6 pm in the premises of La Grande Vasca at Cantieri Culturali della Zisa . The interventions by Ken Grant, Alexander Norton and Luke Boland will be held at the same venue from 2 pm. On that occasion they will talk about their works to the students of the Photography Course.

LA Rizhoma.gallery è lieta di rinnovare l’interesse nei confronti della Fotografia Britannica e Irlandese presentando la mostra dal titolo BRIRISH | The Different ways of feeling at documentary photography, a cura di Martina Colajanni, in collaborazione con l’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Palermo e la Cattedra di Fotografia del Prof. Sandro Scalia.
Tale progetto raccoglie le esperienze più significative nell'ambito della Fotografia Contemporanea Britannica e Irlandese grazie alla testimonianza di alcuni dei suoi autori al momento più attivi.
Tramite i lavori di Paul Cabuts, Ken Grant, Fergus Heron, Shane Lynam, Alexander Norton, Luke Boland e Michael Alberry si tenta di tracciare un confronto tra diverse generazioni di fotografi che si accostano allo strumento fotografico ma che differiscono per contesto socio-culturale, linguaggio e tematiche affrontate.
La mostra avrà luogo il 15 Maggio alle ore 18:00 nei locali de La grande Vasca presso i Cantieri Culturali della Zisa. Nella stessa sede si terranno dalle ore 14 gli interventi Ken Grant, Alexander Norton e Luke Boland durante i quali si racconteranno agli studenti del Corso di Fotografia.
