The Alhambra Project. A selection of drawings, interviews and models
The Alhambra palace complex is a highly renowned monument of Moorish culture in southern Spain and is officially recognised as a world heritage site. The architect Alvaro Siza has known the palace since his childhood and repeatedly engaged with the site over the past decades. In 2010, an international jury chose Siza to create the Alhambra's new entrance and visitor centre. The exhibition presents Siza's designs via a selection of drawings, interviews and models, and demonstrates how he brings his own architectural language into harmony with the Alhambra and the surrounding landscape. A cooperation with the Aedes Architecture Forum, Berlin.
