Mandla Reuter

Kunstmuseum Bonn, Bonn

Starting 16 July 2014, the Kunstmuseum Bonn will be publicly presenting a work gifted by the NRW Art Foundation as part of the 25/25/25 project. The Foyer by the artist Mandla Reuter gives us a peek at parts of the museum hitherto off limits to the public. Reuter is known for playing on exhibition architecture in order to challenge our conventional viewing habits. In Bonn he will be taking artworks off the museum walls, where they usually hang, to focus attention on an otherwise inconspicuous goods lift instead. A poster designed by Reuter will be displayed on public billboards to call attention to the new work at the Kunstmuseum Bonn. Press conference: Tuesday, July 15th 2014, 11am.
