Pearly miniatures

A series of sculptural assemblages based around sub (urban) sexual desires, frustrations and realities.
Behind a facade of normality & conformity lies perversion a-go-go. Pearly Miniatures are seemingly innocuous, a fancy fondant with candy coating but the subject matter is the raw brutality that exists in all our lives, love, sex, obsessions, death, distortion & all the dirt and poetry that lies between.

Art engineers, Burroughs meets Disney, with an obsession for neon and fairground lights, melded with considerable dexterity into their assemblages which employ found objects transformed, transmutated, subverted, resurfaced, homogenised into a unified cell or series of cells, creating organisms that function independantly, developing their own dialogue despite their various individual components, profoundly different, disturbing and compelling

Have been an influential part of the London Underground Art Establishment since 1990, producing some of the most uncompromising art in the last decade, most notably their installation at last years highly acclaimed Mutiny at the Bargehouse exhibiton and their window installation for Harvey Nichols celebrating 20 years of food and fashion.
