Group exhibition with works of Daniel Harms, Ulrich Riedel, Yasam Sasmazer, Eda Soylu, some of the gallery's main artists
The year starts with the group exhibition 'Come Home' including the works of Daniel Harms, Ulrich Riedel, Yasam Sasmazer, Eda Soylu, some of the gallery's main artists. One highlight of the exhibition will be the art work 'Either you or I, but both together is out of the question' from Sasmazer's Doppelgaenger-series, already the centre piece of the gallery's presentation at Contemporary Istanbul. The promising young artist, Ulrich Riedel, located in Berlin, is showing his wall-sized installation wooden installation '2hoch99' (2 square 99). Another of the gallery's contemporary artists, Berlin-based Daniel Harms, is showing one of his older works, as his current series is presently to be seen in a solo exhibition in Berlin. Alongside with Yasam Sasmazer, the gallery is glad to present another upcoming female Turkish artist, Eda Soylu. Freshly graduated, Soylu experiments with a range of media, producing art pleasing to the eye, while yet critical. The current political and social situation as experienced in Istanbul and Berlin is a challenge for all of the different artists. Their concerns with it brings them to create their own art in response. The curator of the exhibition is Tarik Ersin Yoleri.
