In its 16 years the fair has become an international institution, combining a selection of the world's leading galleries with an exceptional program of arts events and exhibitions throughout New York during the celebrated Armory Arts Week.

The Armory Show, a leading international contemporary and modern art fair and one of the most important annual art events in New York, takes place every March on Piers 92 & 94 in central Manhattan. The Armory Show is devoted to showcasing the most important artworks of the 20th and 21st centuries. In its sixteen years the fair has become an international institution, combining a selection of the world's leading galleries with an exceptional program of arts events and exhibitions throughout New York during the celebrated Armory Arts Week.

About The Armory Show
The Armory Show is New York’s leading fair for modern and contemporary art. A seminal event in the New York arts calendar, the fair spearheadsArmory Arts Week, a city-wide program of cultural events and exhibitions. Once again, the fair will comprise of an acclaimedVIP program, a lively opening night benefit party at the Museum of Modern Art and the engagingOpen Forum discussion series. For the fourth year running the fair will be designed by Brooklyn-based architectsBade Stageberg Cox who will transform Piers 92 and 94 along the Hudson River on Manhattan's west side into a spectacular setting for over65,000 visitors who come to New York for this principal event in the international art market calendar.

About Fawz Kabra
Fawz Kabra is a curator and writer. She is Assistant Curator, Abu Dhabi Project at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, New York. She completed her graduate degree at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College (2013), and received her undergraduate degree in Studio Art at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada (2004). Kabra initiated the Arts Grant Program at the Emirates Foundation, Art and Culture (2007) and went on to curate public programs at the Cultural Department, TDIC (2008–2011) Abu Dhabi, UAE. She co-curated the special project Brief Histories: Winter/Spring 2011 in Sharjah and Dubai, UAE (2011) and was Curator of Projects at Art Dubai in 2014. In New York, Kabra curated the video program at ArteEast, Arts and Culture in Transformative Times (2013) and co-curated the BRIC Biennial: Volume I, Downtown Edition at BRIC Arts and Media,
Brooklyn (2014). She is a contributing editor at Ibraaz.

About Omar Kholeif
Omar Kholeif is a writer, curator and editor. He is currently Curator at the Whitechapel Gallery (London), Senior Visiting Curator at Cornerhouse and HOME (Manchester) as well as Senior Editor of Ibraaz Publishing. Previously he headed up Art and Technology at SPACE (London) where he was director of The White Building, London's center for art and technology, and was Curator at FACT, Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (Liverpool). Kholeif has also been Artistic Director at the Arab British Centre, London and a founding director of the UK's Arab Film Festival. In 2015, he also curates the Cyprus Pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale and the Abraaj Group Art Prize at Art Dubai, UAE. He has authored or edited more than a dozen books, which include You Are Here: Art After the Internet and Jeddah Childhood circa 1994 (both 2014).

Art Jameel – Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives (ALJCI) arts and culture initiative – aims to foster and promote a thriving arts scene within the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT) region and to support the development of creative enterprises. In partnership with art organizations worldwide, Art Jameel develops cultural exchange programs to encourage networking and knowledge sharing.

About Edge of Arabia, Lead Cultural Partner of Armory Focus: MENAM
Edge of Arabia is an independent, non-profit arts initiative, which connects artists and cultural communities between the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region, Europe and United States. It is the vision of a group of British and Saudi artists who met in the mountains of South-West Saudi Arabia in 2003 and shared a common desire "to start a real cultural movement from the periphery of the international art world." Open Forum
is a thought-provoking series of conversations and panels at The Armory Show, featuring leading curators, critics, designers, gallerists, museum directors, and art world experts. Open Forum includes four days of programming, with the two day Focus: MENAM Symposium on Saturday and Sunday. All Open Forum events will take place in the Media Lounge on Pier 94 and are open to the public, unless otherwise noted.

Deloitte 8th Annual Art & Finance Conference
During this half-day conference, with a keynote address by Bob Rennie, Found and President of Rennie Marketing Systems, Founder of the Rennie Collection, and Chairman of the Tate North America Acquisition Committee, Deloitte’s distinguished panelists and speakers will examine the evolution of art banking, consider the behavior of art as a capital asset, discuss the tax and estate planning implications of the landmark Elkins Decision (the Elkins case), and present risk mitigation strategies for collectors. This event is by invitation only.

In Conversation: Parviz Tanavoli and Lynn Gumpert, Director, Grey Art Gallery, New York University
In this discussion, Parviz Tanavoli, renowned pioneer of modern Iranian sculpture, will speak with Lynn Gumpert, Director of New York University’s Grey Art Gallery about his role as one of Iran’s foremost modern artists, as well as his friendship with the Grey Art Gallery founder Abby Weed Grey. This talk is organized in conjunction with Parviz Tanavoli: Selections from the NYU Art Collection – a special presentation of the artist’s work installed on Pier 92 – Modern.

Art Jameel and Edge of Arabia present CULTURUNNERS: Journeys and Collaborations
This panel will discuss CULTURUNNERS, an artistic expedition and road trip to explore, communicate, and archive interconnected cultural histories between the Middle East and the United States. Featuring panelists include: Azra Aksamija, MIT Assistant Professor and CULTURUNNERS co-author; Husam Al-Sayed, Telfaz11 Artist; Matthew Mazzotta, Artist; Ava Ansari, Artist and Edge of Arabia Associate Curator. Moderated by Renata Papsch, General Manager, Art Jameel.

Contemporary Design Today in Lebanon
This discussion will focus on the current state of Lebanese contemporary design through the experience of designer Carlo Massoud and the activities of Carwan Gallery (Beirut) and House of Today (Beirut). Featuring panelists include: Carlo Massoud, Designer; Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, Carwan Gallery, Beirut; Cherine Magrabi Tayeb, House of Today, Beirut. This talk will take place in the Mezzanine Lounge, Pier 92 and is moderated by Maria Cristina Didero, Design Curator, Journalist, and Director of Bisazza Foundation, Italy.
