Fundación Centro Ordóñez-Falcón de FotografÃa will be promoting DFOTO, the first International Contemporary Photography and Video Fair, held in San Sebastián. The fair will take place on April 15th through 18th at the Kursaal Conference Center and will spotlight a maximum of forty guest galleries from Spain and around the world.
DFOTO is a monographic fair which will bring together and display the year's most interesting work in photography and video. These formats are included in the world's leading art fairs and play an ever-increasing role in the world of contemporary art and in the exhibition programmes of museums and galleries.
DFOTO will therefore be a specialised forum aimed at familiarising the public with the foremost names in these areas. The event also sets out to provide an environment for private and corporate art collectors and to generate a space for sharing experiences and information in hopes of consolidating the contemporary photograph and video market.
The ambitious objective behind DFOTO is to become an event not to be missed within art and culture circuits; in short, its goal is to provide a space for anyone with an interest in contemporary art.
