The Transformative Power of Art. A selection of portraits and paintings
A selection of portraits and paintings, originally part of a major exhibition at the United Nations in New York that took place in June 2015. Ruggiero's unique style is based on the ancient fresco technique with three-dimensional textures created by layers of natural pigments. The portraits reflect the inner power of inspired and driven human beings who have touched hearts around the world. The inspirational personalities are: Malala Yousafzai (Pakistan), Sebastiao Salgado (Brazil), Miriam Makeba (South Africa), Gong Li (China), Joan Baez (USA), Joseph Beuys (Germany) and Maya Angelou (USA). In his abstract art, Ruggiero imagines the invisible threads and vibrations that constantly permeate perceptions and offer a soothing sense of being part of creation. Opening September 2, 06:00 PM.
