Our Best Intentions is one of the most important and ambitious projects of the Israeli artist. A work that has been presented from the beginning in a performing double version and into a video detachable or visible together.

All the work of Einat Amir is based on the study of human relations, considering the methods of study and of analysis elaborated in the social sciences. A reworking arriving at the realization of real stagings performances, where the process of relations is part and it is observed at the same time.
Our Best Intentions ( 2013-14 ) is one of the most important and ambitious projects of the Israeli artist. A work that has been presented from the beginning in a performing double version and into a video detachable or visible together.
This video installation is divided into four parts. Each part portrays a different domestic surroundings.
Each video present a group of participants selected by an open call, directed in a series of actions by a guide. Each guide is coming from a slightly different professional field, all located in the spectrum between therapy and performing arts. Each of these guides in their turn will lead their group in a unique 10 minute workshop designed as a collaboration between the artist and that specific guide. This multi-channel video, which will be presented only in the main space of the Canal|05, along with a series of photos, drawings and objects presented in the project room of the gallery.
This work was realized by the artist also as a live performance that was presented in Performa 13.
Einat Amir has defined her work as a " readymade " or rather an "appropriation " a reconsideration through Duchamp's lesson of what today is important to extract from reality to be shown in a different context . A process that Einat Amir focuses on human behavior and on its expressive and artistic abilities.
