SFAI Lecture Hall, San Francisco

San Francisco Art Institute's Annual Open House. The graduation of the Art Institute's class of 2004, and works by some of the most talented emerging artists in the country. The MFA Candidates Exhibition will be on view at Herbst Pavilion, Fort Mason, and the Spring Show will be at the Chestnut Street campus.

MASTER OF FINE ARTS EXHIBITION

The SFAI MFA Exhibition is large, complex, and beautiful, offering challenging and inspirational artworks. There are 98 students in the graduating MFA class of 2004, making it the largest in the 133-year history of the San Francisco Art Institute. The exhibition has been organized by Merry Scully, Director of Exhibitions and Galleries.

The exhibition is accompanied by a 248 page catalogue with 96 color illustrations; and writing by Chris Bratton, President; Larry Thomas, Dean of Academic Affairs; Sabina Ott, Director of Graduate Programs; Pegan Brooke, Director of the Summer MFA Program; Dr. Stephanie Ellis, Resident Faculty in Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies; Meredith Tromble, Coordinator of the Center for Art and Science; and Mark Van Proyen, Resident Faculty in Liberal Arts and Digital Media. $20, available at the exhibition and in the Walter and McBean Galleries, 800 Chestnut Street.
