A level of trust. After Kurt Cobain è la mostra inaugurale di More Fools in Town, nuovo spazio espositivo torinese.
Poco prima della sua morte Kurt Cobain era estremamente critico sia nei confronti del sistema e della scena musicale, che dell’indebolirsi dei suoi sforzi di tentare di dire la verità all’interno di essi. Cosa significa essere autentici in un mondo dominato da strategie di mercato? Un artista può riuscire a continuare a dedicarsi a ciò che crede essere giusto?
Le opere di Ester Partegàs (New York), vedovamazzei (Milano), Mungo Thomson (Los Angeles), Arnaud Maguet (Nizza), Elizabeth Newman (Melbourne), Piero Golia (Napoli), Blair Trethowan (Melbourne) e Olav Westphalen (New York) cercheranno un contatto e un’identificazione con il pubblico. Deviando i segnali di produzione e consumo, apriranno uno spazio per un desiderio comune di fiducia.
Nel corso della serata inaugurale si terrà una performance di A Constructed World interpretata da Andrea Viliani e Michele Robecchi. Ogni sabato ACW offrirà un buffet ai visitatori della mostra.
More Fools in Town è uno spazio per l’arte situato in un appartamento a Torino ed è un progetto nato dalla collaborazione tra A Constructed World (Jacqueline Riva + Geoff Lowe) e Charlotte Laubard.

A level of trust. After Kurt Cobain is the first exhibition at spazio More Fools in Town in Torino.
In the time leading up to his death Kurt Cobain was critical of both the music scene and system and his own withering efforts to tell-the-truth within it. What does it mean to be authentic in a market-driven world? Can artists continue to commit themselves to what they believe to be true?
The works of Ester Partegàs (New York), vedovamazzei (Milan), Mungo Thomson (Los Angeles), Arnaud Maguet (Nice), Elizabeth Newman (Melbourne), Piero Golia (Naples), Blair Trethowan (Melbourne) and Olav Westphalen (New York) seek contact and explore identification with the audience. By diverting the signs of production and consumption, they open a space for a shared desire for trust.
On the opening evening there will A Constructed World event performed by Andrea Viliani and Michele Robecchi. On Saturdays, ACW will offer food for visitors to the show.
More Fools in Town is a space for art in an apartment in Torino and is a collaborative project of A Constructed World (Jacqueline Riva + Geoff Lowe) and Charlotte Laubard.
