Haro combines oil and pastels to build powerful abstract compositions that
suggest landscapes. The spontaneous marks are reminiscent of the
Neo-expressionist spirit; yet the visceral force of the strokes makes the
work distinctly Spanish. Born in Valencia in 1958, Haro has been exhibiting
in international galleries and institutions for over twenty years, including
Malborough Gallery, Madrid, the Riga Museum, Lithuania, and the Salón
Nacional de Pintura, Murcia, among others.
