who is currently based in New York. The exhibition includes a selection of
his oversized sporting paraphernalia and re-modelled icons of classical
modernist and baroque architecture. Angus' work plays on the possibilities
of inducing perceptual shifts through his alterations of familiar objects,
creating conceptual sculpture out of representational forms.
Daily Practice - Danius Kesminas and Mike Stevenson
As part of these artists' ongoing interest in ironic reworkings of
paradigms of art history and practice, this one act play, filmed on video,
is based on a transcript of an interview between the eminent German artist
Gerhard Richter and Doris van Drathen. The artist interview is a widely
used instrument for for determining artistic intentions and attitudes
around art, culture, politics and the world. These interviews published in
art periodicals and catalogues are very common and they raise little
comment or analysis. However they often contain formal and cultural
resonances which are overlooked and worthy of more intensive investigation.
