...from the archives of subjective memory a general repertoire is created which resembles pictures from one’s own family history. Family photos are re-photographed in order to examine the memories they contain and their own history. Clippings, blurredness and lighting create new pictures. Material and various traces become visible and point to the past and history. Like memories, they show cracks or scratches and conturs are getting more or less blurred. This work doesn’t intend to reconstruct a family history with the help of visual material, it remains fragmented and entangled with other images instead. These pictures alone reconstruct their own history.
