Artspace, is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibitions: Hullihen Williams Moore, H. Jennings Sheffield, and Debbie DaPrano in its February through March exhibitions.

Former Artspace member Debbie DaPrano will exhibit her most recent work in the Foyer gallery. Digital Stitch is a mixed-media show. Artspace has featured DaPrano’s work in several exhibitions. She has also shown at Art Works, Curated Culture, and the former Shockoe Bottom Arts Center.

Artspace member, H. Jennings Sheffield will be showing in the Helena Davis gallery. The show, entitled Rainy Night on the Seine 07.04.04, consists of 10 images and an 8mm film loop projected onto the wall. Rainy Night on the Seine recreates an event experienced by the photographer as she photographed Paris from her glass-covered boat. Each image contains a glossy print mounted to a sheet of plexiglass and a transparency of the same image mounted onto another piece of plexiglass. The two pieces are then bolted together, creating a visual depth. Sheffield is the founder and owner of local creative-imaging studio, STAT Productions Inc. She is also adjunct faculty of Fine Art and Digital Photography at VCU. Her work has been shown throughout Richmond and Atlanta, GA.

An exhibition of thirty selenium-toned black-and-white photographs by Virginia native Hullihen Williams Moore will be featured in the Main gallery. The show, entitled Shenandoah: Views of Our National Park, Photographs by Hullihen Williams Moore, is a testament to the beauty of the park and to its changing image over time. This program has been organized by and is circulated through the Statewide Exhibitions Program, Office of Statewide Partnerships, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts with generous support from Philip Morris U.S.A. and the Council of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Artspace thanks Suitable for Framing for its additional support. Hullihen Moore’s book will be available for sale at the gallery. He will be signing books during the opening reception. A complete News Release for Hullihen Moore’s exhibition is attached.

Artspace is a non-profit art gallery dedicated to the understanding and awareness of contemporary visual and performing arts. Founded in 1988, Artspace is a member-run organization.

The exhibits open Friday, February 25th.
