A large selection of international Video Art by artists from around the globe. These are available to view on monitors at Prenelle throughout the exhibition.
The Island Art Film & Video Festival 05 opens on the 9th March with a dynamic
collection of screenings by curators from around the world, showing a wide range
of film by artists at Prenelle Gallery and UGC Cinema, West India Quay.
The daily Gallery Exhibition will show over 150 works by international artists.
Visitors can control what they watch by selecting works to view on monitors
around the gallery, or watch a screening of 20 selected works curated by
Prenelle.
Other events at the festival include Seminars hosted by Film London. Using case
studies, artists & industry professionals will speak on topics such as legal
clearance, copyright and how to get your work seen.
A new event for this years festival is the launch of UGC Cinema 'Pre - Feature'
shorts. These works are on 35mm and will be shown prior to the main feature to
a mainstream audience and include work by Paul Bush, Carol Morley and AK Dolven.
