Thanet contemporary art festival. The selected 20 artists, have been working closely with the Curator Jan Leandro and will be exhibiting in 9 venues. Their work ranges from painting, drawing and sculpture to video, installation, photography and live performance. In addition, will be showed 4 specifically commissioned artists, creating new work for the 2005 edition.

The Festival
Margate Rocks 2005 will be an eclectic festival of contemporary art.
The selected 20 artists, have been working closely with our Curator Jan Leandro and will be exhibiting in 9 venues. Their work ranges from painting, drawing and sculpture to video, installation, photography & live performance.
In addition to the above, we are pleased to be showing 4 specifically commissioned artists, creating new work for the 2005 festival.
The Venues
Artists will be exhibiting or performing in a variety of sites from alternative venues (disused and the slightly unusual) to the Tudor House, Theatre Royal and dedicated galleries. The festival will be centred in around the ‘Old Town’ and harbour area of Margate – with other events happening throughout the locality.
