The 9 photographers go beyond the standard images found in the media to capture the diversity of the people and landscapes of contemporary Israel. Sometimes sublime or commonplace, always immediate and complex, these images range from Miki Kratsman's photographs of children from the Palestinian village of Carmel, to Rina Castelnuovo's powerful images of families evacuating from Gaza.
