The Photographers' Gallery exhibition programme reaches out to
audiences in Spain, with a specially commissioned exhibition of recent
British art and photography, conceived for Madrid's stunning Sala de
Exposiciones del Canal de Isabel II.
In this converted nineteenth-century
water tower, artists Corinne Day, Dryden Goodwin, Julie Henry, Steven
Pippin, Sophy Rickett, David Shrigley, Keith Tyson and Shizuka
Yokomizo explore a variety of intriguing relationships between
photography, and other media such as sculpture, video, drawing and
animation.
The exhibition is curated by The Photographers' Gallery's
Senior Programmer, Kate Bush.
The Fantastic Recurrence of Certain Situations is made possible by the
Communidad de Madrid and the British Council, Madrid, and is
accompanied by a 132pp fully illustrated publication.
