"The Collection of a Lifetime" celebrates the 103rd birthday of Roy R. Neuberger by delving deep into the permanent collection bearing his name and showcasing the work of 103 artists in the expansive first floor South and Theater Galleries. One of the star objects in the Museum's permanent collection is Yayoi Kusama's Silvery Sea (1981-82). This large sculpture comprises hundreds of work gloves and other soft, stuffed elements in the form of a large boat, painted silver.
