Pol.knots and Veronique Poiret - recent works
Pol.knots - living nowadays in Malmo, Sweden - is unveiling a new set of works where he is assembling small canvas into large mozaik assemblages revisiting his obsession for fullness and emptyness. And his abstract approach is more then ever hesitating between construction and destruction: the forms are clearly outlined, but charged with expressionistic gesture, while some part of the surface is eroded up to the canvas.
Ve'ronique Poiret, a sculptor living in Amiens, France, is showing statues that are stressing the organic tangible aspects of life, quite far away from the cerebral features that pol.knots is bringing out. This contrast in the presented works fits exactly with the program that the galerist Sophie Brossard is implementing in her gallery, a wide space that is very convenient for such kind of artistic confrontations.
