Marginal Movements
New York, NY - Soho Photo Gallery is pleased to announce that Italian photographer Rosalia Filippetti will be November's guest exhibitor.
Her show, entitled Marginal Movements (2001-2005), was shot during her journeys around the world inside a car.
Filippetti's exhibit includes 25 11''x15'' limited edition black and white silver gelatin prints that show faces whose features can't be discerned; figures immersed in dreamlike, surreal landscapes, suspended moments of unknown lives, indefinable placesthat melt from one into the next as if the photographer herself trying to recount the intangible flow of an experience virtually unknown, even to herself.
Filippetti, whose style has been compared to Mario Giacomelli's, has been in numerous solo and group shows in Rome, Milan, Turin, Genoa, Florene and Ancona as well as in Berlin and Lille.
