The UPdate convention on the 23-24 March 2007 in Berlin marks the third time that professional photographers shall present their work from advertising and fashion photography. Agents, model agencies, HMS agencies, production companies, picture agencies, suppliers and magazines can all apply as exhibitors. Freelance photographers are given the opportunity of presenting their portfolio at the Library of those present.
The Salon for Photography, UPdate was founded in 2005 with 50 exhibitors and is proud to see its popularity grow ever since. The forum was created so as to create a better overview of the huge flood of information that usually dominates the industry: UPdate selects, groups and creates room for content. Everyone that has anything to do with photography can find important inspiration and new contacts for their work.The photography get together takes place at the same time as the Art Directors Club (ADC) competition in Berlin.
The organiser behind the UPdate is GoSee, an office for advertising and fashion photography, which was founded 10 years ago. GoSee set itself the task of improving the industry's internal communication exchange. GoSee currently has approx. 500 members and has outstanding knowledge and experience of photography at its disposal: over 4,000 photographers are listed with them. The free of charge weekly GoSee newsletter is sent to over 46,000 readers from the fashion, design, photography, advertising and marketing sectors and has just under nine million hits per month - with an increasing tendancy.
A catalogue shall be published for all exhibitors and visitors to the UPdate, which includes an an index of exhibitors with an introduction to agencies, a GoSee member listing and a SCREENINGS, the online photography competition, finalist feature.
Entry fee: The two day ticket lies at 20,- EUR in advance and 30,- EUR on the actual days. An ordering form can be obtained at http://www.up-date.ws
