Sono nato tra il grido dello scheletro del falco e l’odore preistorico del salamandro che perde la coda nel fuoco di Prometeo. Nell'alba di una nebbia autunnale in terra di Magna Grecia celante il patrimonio del paesaggio che giaceva, per fortuna, sotto la benevolente custodia dell’oblio, incontravo presenze misteriose, centauri. Mentre una tacita cascata di nuvole dal mare Ionio annunciava la presenza di accomodate divinità, la catena del Dolcedorme disegnava tra chiaroscuri un presagio. L’oggi del quotidiano strillava la contemporaneità, mentre il passato e il futuro erano aboliti, così nasce l’epopea dell’amnesia.

Udite udite! Voi, Ladies and Gentlemen, vi siete mai chiesti su quali bancarelle saranno offerte in vendita per tre centesimi le foto in bianco e nero delle vostre carte d’identità?

Nella galleria Totem – Il Canale é presentata una serie di opere recenti dell’artista, basate sull’iconografia del passato. La memoria si ricollega all’origine, il neonato tra visioni caleidoscopiche ci accompagnerà nel percorso dell’evento. Memoria e uso della fotografia si fondono come modus operandi per dare spazio alle emozioni.

I was born between the scream of the skeleton of the hawk and the prehistoric smell of the salamanderthat looses her tail in the fire of Prometeus. In the dawn of an autumn mist in Magna Grecia concealing the scenery wealth that luckily was under the benevolent care of oblivion, I was meeting mysterious presence, centaur. While a silent fall of clouds from the Ionian sea was announcing the presence of seated divinities, the range of Dolcedorme was designing a prediction amongst chiaroscuri. The today of everyday was screeming the contemporaneity, as the past and the future were abolished, so the epic of amnesia is born.


Hear hear! You, Ladies and Gentlemen, did you ever ask yourselves on which stall the black and white photos of your ID cards will be offered for three cents?

A group of recent works by the artist, based on the iconography of the past, is on show at the Totem – Il Canale gallery. Memory reconnect to the origin, the newborn baby will escort us in the journey of the event amongst kaleidoscopic visions. Memory and the use of photography blend together as "modus operandi" to make room for emotions.
