International Trade Fair for Museum, Conservation and Heritage. The fair covers new and restructured buildings, planning, personnel service providers, public relations work, visitor research and orientation, design, house and exhibition technology, museum shops, catering... The show will take place parallel to Cologne Fine Art.
International Trade Fair for Museums, Conservation and Heritage moves from spring to autumn and from even-numbered to odd-numbered years
COLOGNE FINE ART, the fair for art and antiques, will remain a parallel event
In the future, EXPONATEC COLOGNE will continue to be held every two years, but in odd-numbered rather than even-numbered years. The next International Trade Fair for Museums, Conservation and Heritage will therefore take place from 31st October to 3rd November 2007, parallel to the art and antiques fair COLOGNE FINE ART. The rescheduling has been approved by the cooperation partners (Europa Nostra, The Best in Heritage, ICOM and the German Museum Association) and the Advisory Committee, which has supported the conceptual development of EXPONATEC COLOGNE from the fair's inception.
By rescheduling EXPONATEC COLOGNE to take place in the autumn of odd-numbered years, Koelnmesse is opening up new strategic development opportunities for attracting exhibitors and visitors from across Europe. Although the fair will no longer be held close together with its competing European trade fairs, the autumn scheduling of the information and communication event will allow visitors and exhibitors at the end of the year to gain an initial impression of the coming trends and developments. Specialists and professionals from museums and the fields of conservation, restoration and cultural heritage will meet at EXPONATEC COLOGNE to find out about innovations in every area from technology to services. The answers to their questions will help them with their medium-term and long-term investments. However, the fair will also be an information and ordering forum when it comes to making purchases by the end of the year. The autumn trade fair will bring together supply and demand at a time that will support everyone involved in planning for the coming year.
Event addresses exhibition venues, restoration and conservation
EXPONATEC COLOGNE covers new and restructured buildings, planning, personnel service providers, public relations work, visitor research and orientation, exhibition design, house and exhibition technology, media, entrance and exit areas, museum shops, museum catering, security and transport, administration supplies, restoration, conservation, preparation and material testing. The visitor target groups are museum representatives, exhibition organisers and curators from all kinds of exhibition venues (not just art museums), and people who work in the fields of restoration, conservation and cultural heritage.
International supporting programme for open dialogue
A congress programme with an international outlook will address current issues of interest to the market, guaranteeing dialogue between politicians, business representatives, academics, journalists and consumers. EXPONATEC COLOGNE will take place parallel to COLOGNE FINE ART. This creative alliance will generate an innovative kind of added value for the participants of both fairs, who will fully exploit this potential.
