10 projects by Latin American artists. A traveling exhibition and publication project, presenting art works that have been recently produced or that are linked to Latin America. They all emerge from the relation and hybridization produced by science and art for more than a century, as well as its relation to artistic and social processes, emphasizing where all these factors have contributed to the 'stabilization' of certain technologies and have affected its cultural use.

CONCEPT : Emergentes is a traveling exhibition and publication project, presenting art works that have been recently produced or that are linked to Latin America. They all emerge from the relation and hybridization produced by science and art for more than a century, as well as its relation to artistic and social processes, emphasizing where all these factors have contributed to the 'stabilization' of certain technologies and have affected its cultural use.
Even though electronic art in Latin America is no longer unknown, many little-known areas still exist that better resemble multidisciplinary research projects.
The exhibition tries to question the localized concept of a project, given that most of the artists live and develop their work outside of Latin America, although there may be direct links or relations in their art works.
On the other hand, a lot of the work coming from the field of science and technology is unknown, a development that has been going on for years and that continues intensely today.
The project takes a look at some of these recent proposals realized by young artists who find themselves 'defragmented,' whether on the level of media or geography. Although it cannot be denied that the greatest production of this kind of art work is concentrated in a small number of countries such as Brasil, Argentina, or Mexico, the project aims to concentrate on art works and themes rather than on specific countries.
