Detroit Contemporary, Detroit
Detroit's largest art exhibit of the season: over 200 Detroit area visual artists will show works in all mediums. Participating artists were invited to create one work each for this exhibition in any medium, 2d or 3d, maintaining the size restriction of 8.5" x 11" (the actual size of the mailing card for the exhibition). Spanning three generations of Detroit's artistic community, 'Actual Size' will be on view at three Detroit Cultural Center locations during it's six week run.

The Show
Over 200 Detroit area visual artists will show works in all
mediums in "actual size", a one-month exhibition presented by
detroit contemporary.
Participating artists were invited to create
one work each for this exhibition in any medium, 2d or 3d,
maintaining the size restriction of 8.5" x 11" (the actual size of
the mailing card for the exhibition).
Spanning three generations of
Detroit's artistic community, detroit contemporary's "actual size"
will be on view at three Detroit Cultural Center locations during it's
six week run. Participating artists include local emerging and
established artists, many of whom exhibit on both a national and
international level.
A large gallery crawl will unleash this exciting
exhibition with opening receptions at detroit contemporary,
Furniture Factory and Traffic Jam & Snug Restaurant.
Important Information
The multi media exhibition includes video, sculpture,
painting, photo and installation.
Opening
reception to meet the artists: on Saturday November 3, 2001 from
6-10pm. The opening reception will be at detroit contemporary,
Furniture Factory and Traffic Jam & Snug Restaurant.
Detroit
Contemporary is open Thursday through Sunday from 12pm-6pm.

Detroit Contemporary is located in the
Woodbridge Historic District at 5141 Rosa Parks Blvd.
This is two
blocks north of Warren Avenue, two blocks south of the I94
expressway, three blocks west of Trumbull Blvd.
