Dreaming Lad - Enfant Terrible. The exhibition shows the early work of one the leading exponent of Austrian Expressionism. The creative phases of his graphics are juxtaposed to his painted works, throwing light on Kokoschka's development from a student at the College of Decorative Arts to an independent artist.
The exhibition shows the early work of Oskar Kokoschka, the leading exponent of Austrian Expressionism. This unique exhibition is the first presentation on this scale devoted exclusively to the early phase of Kokoschka's work.
The creative phases of his graphics are juxtaposed to his painted works, throwing light on Kokoschka's development from a student at the College of Decorative Arts to an independent artist. Besides his first works produced as a student, there are also exhibits taken from Kokoschka's literary work and his early paintings and drawings.
