Eye Candy. Paintings. The artist's work engages nostalgia, simple beauty, and feelings of times past, juxtaposed against a sultry Hollywood backdrop.
Greg Miller’s “Eye Candy” is a sexy, thought provoking Angeleno inspired series. His resined works on panel are a seamless blend of fragmented photographic imagery, familiar everyday objects, celebrated literary novels, and painted surfaces. His work engages nostalgia, simple beauty, and feelings of times past, juxtaposed against a sultry Hollywood backdrop.
A renowned Venice, CA - based artist, Miller’s work is featured in the Charles Saatchi Collection, the Frederick R. Weisman Collection and a variety of other corporate collections including those of Playboy, AMFAR and Interscope Records. His work is also a part of the permanent collections at the Kemper Museum and the San Jose Museum of Art.
Miller attended UCLA, San Jose State and the San Francisco Art Institute. He has taught at Claremont Graduate School of Art, and the Art Institute of Southern California, where he served as chair of the Visual Communications Department.
