Pippy Houldsworth is proud to present to press Robert Platt's first
UK solo show. A Royal College of Art alumni, Platt adopts the medium
of painting to explore a series of dichotomies whereby nature and
artifice stand opposed. In Huntorama he explores a lost Eden in a
time when nature has become increasingly mediated and domesticated.
This wistful yearning for a reconnection with both nature and its
wilderness is personified for Platt in activities such as hunting and
Huntorama stages a rich mix of Japanese landscape imbued with a very
British sensibility.
Please find attached a preview of works from the show. Press are
invited to book appointments to visit the gallery to view a sample of
those to be included in Huntorama prior to the official opening on
Friday 18th April. Further information concerning Robert Platt's
work and practice is contained in the documents attached (Visual Info
