Curated by Evi Pilartz & Willem Spanninga
A cooperation between The Museum of Applied Arts and Galerie Pilartz, Cologne.
We will celebrate our one-year anniversary in the museum!
The Museum of Applied Arts - located in the heart of Cologne and the shadow of the Cathedral - preserves and multiplies one of the most significant German collections of European applied arts from the Middle Ages to the immediate present as well as a leading collection of design since 1900.
The museum is home to a rich collection of jewellery from antiquity until today. Its focus is on the Middle Ages, Renaissance and the 19th and 20th century. With the Treskow collection modern valuables and a magnificent collection of rings were added to its portfolio.
The Plan08 is a forum for contemporary architecture and makes Cologne a stage for action-loaded events for the 10th time this year. Next to meetings with international experts from academic and commercial areas, the Plan08 forum also offers a platform to cross-architecture, i.e. exhibitions, installations and events performed by international curators, architects, city planners and artists. With this, the forum not only reaches out to experts but also to a very broad audience interested in culture.
”In Prime Location“ – that is to say in the Museum of Applied Art Cologne – the gallery presents its first anniversary celebration with
