As it turned cooler in early fall, Platform China Contemporary Art Institute 798 Project Space is pleased to present a refreshing and peaceful solo exhibition, which called Doubtful Point including the works from Huang Jia – the female artist who had experienced the 1980’s and 1990’s art world, and the works are productions collided with the society.
Huang Jia put the simple dots around the canvas in order, making audience to doubt about the works at the first sight, and then doubt about the surrounding objective world. Almost all of her living experiences come from the skepticism. The round dots arrayed on the image transfer her inner struggle unconsciously, proved that hypnotism, psychoanalysis, psychology hint and collective unconscious are often conveyed and intensified by the simplest visual symbols.
The west modern skeptic descending from Hume and Kant’s thought that refuse to study the actuality out of feeling. In fact, people’s experiencing of art is the process integrating the rational thinking and perceptual experience thought gradually. It likes eating food, people will not think about how the tongue moves and chews, otherwise the meaning of tasting is lost.
