Reflections. Prentice who is known for his many monumental size commissions all over the world has always based his larger ideas on these smaller gallery works. Tim Prentice’s sculptures have always given his audiences a visual rendering of air and wind, now however with the use of translucent lexan, Prentice’s sculptures take on the defining of light as well as the air around us. Prentice’s use of everyday materials gives his work a certain simplicity, but his architecturally oriented systems quickly diffuse any ideas of these sculptures being simple.
The Maxwell Davidson Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Tim Prentice: ‘Reflections’ on February 12, 2002.
This is the sixth one-man show at the Maxwell Davidson Gallery for the U.S. born kinetic sculptor.
