Enter. Talents at show at Kunsthallen Brandts

With the exhibition Enter Kunsthallen Brandts presents some of Denmark's most talented young artists and provides them a platform never before seen in Denmark. For Enter 2008 Kunsthallen Brandts and the three principals of Denmark's art academies have selected 20 artists who beside their young age only have in common that they represent unique tendencies in contemporary Danish art.

Enter is Kunsthallen Brandts new triennial for young artists and will continuously suggest the most exciting talents in the Danish contemporary art scene.

Behind success and talent
During the last ten years galleries and collectors have in some degree concentrated on the very young artists. Therefore the market have turned out to be distinctive and of great matter for the success and noticeable of the young artists. With the exhibition Enter the art institution Brandts contributes to an alternative and supplementing platform that comments the market, which in so doing will determine the agenda for artistic success.

Participating artists at Enter are:
AKassen, Nanna Debois Buhl, Jesper Carlsen, Sonja Lillebæk Christensen, Johanna Domke, Ingen Frygt, Heine Klausen, Martha Kramær, Pernille With Madsen, Lone Haugaard Madsen, Simon Dybbroe Møller, Jacob Nielsen, Allan Otte, Lea Porsager, Randi og Katrine, Tove Storch, Lars Tygesen, Mette Vangsgaard, Pernille Kapper Williams, and Lars Worm.

Montana ENTERPRIZE
On the occasion of the new art triennial of Denmark Montana has instituted an art award: Montana ENTERPRIZE on DKK 100,000. Thereby the art prize is one of the greatest in Denmark. In addition to this two travelling grants sponsored by Montana on each DKK 25,000 will be announced.

An international jury will select the receiver of Montana ENTERPRIZE 2008
To decide on who receives the prize Kunsthallen Brandts has appointed an international jury of curators: Iwona Blazwick, Director, Whitechapel in London, Anselm Franke, artistic director, Extra City in Antwerpen and co-curator of Manifesta 2008, and Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, chief curator, Castello di Rivoli i Torino and artistic director of Sydney Biennial 2008.

The opening of Enter
The receiver of Montana ENTERPRIZE will be appointed October 23, 2008 and the name will be released during the opening the same day at 5pm. The chairman of Board of Kunsthallen Brandts, Niels Erik Gjerdevik, will open the exhibition.
