New digital paintings. The artist has prepared an installation filling the entire main space of the gallery. A giant painting covering the walls from top to bottom. His images, born from digital manipulations, are often opposed to characteristics attributed to classic painting.
For his biggest solo show until now, Icon Tada presents his new digital paintings. Pushing back the limits he has prepared an installation filling the entire main space of the gallery. A giant painting covering all the walls from top to bottom. On the opening be the first ones to see the original paintings as well as the 10 feet high new limited edition by Icon Tada.
Japanese artist Icon Tada draws and paints solely with computers and vectorial drawing. His images, born from digital manipulations, are often opposed to characteristics attributed to classic painting. Tada’s colored shapes’ only ambition is their graphic simplicity and purity. He is after harmony among colors and shapes. His acid images are obviously supposed to be cristal clear, «easy to taste», but they nevertheless reveal a complexity that is far from their apparent spontaneity.
Icon Tada is looking to emphasize the decorative aspect of his work as much as possible, transforming the exhibition into a giant installation. In this context, the artist is compelling the work to ignore its classic format and multiply its shapes to infinity, thus creating a wallpaper covered with Tada’s works. Icon Tada lets his images run wild and spread like colorful fireworks.
Mark your calendars for this exceptional show at the Magda Danysz Gallery. Icon Tada will be exposing in the most unexpected and original manner : he will be covering the gallery walls from floor to ceiling. Thanks to the work done with les Visionneurs (wall-paper creators), the artwork is rid of any kind of canvas and is able to spread to the whole surface of the wall, Tada s shapes invading the space surrounding you. The harmony of his zen colors and shapes become monumental and leave you aghast. "I want visual camouflage, a flow of beautiful images anchored in the present and on the brink of evaporation."
