On show more than 20 furniture objects
With more than 20 furniture objects the show has its priority on the design for the interior. The couple of architects' influence on the 1950's form and shape in this field can not be overestimated. However with the revival of Italian mid-century design the Parisis have yet to step out of the shadow of Gio Ponti or Carlo Mollino. The exhibited furniture is covering the period between 1949 and 1968. Rosewood and mahogany but as well Italian walnut are the preferred materials on the designer couples palette which is later extended to black lacquer and polished steel surfaces. Beside the furniture, ceramics and rare books are being displayed.
