The opening vernissage will take place FRIDAY APRIL 19th, from 7 -10PM.

FETISH may be Gartel's most provocative work to date, as it examines human behavior, asking questions about sexuality, and eroticism in the new millennium. The images probe elements from our culture that reveal individual cravings and desires, always with the artists's signature humor and zest for life.

LAURENCE GARTEL
Laurence Gartel has been a pioneer of Digital Art for over 25 years. His works have been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Princeton Art Museum, Norton Museum of Art, Joan Whitney Payson Museum of Art, Long Beach Museum of Art and collections in the Bibliotheque Nationale, Musee Francais de la Photographie, and the Smithsonian Institution Museum of American History to name a few.

His ABSOLUT GARTEL ad commissioned for ABSOLUT Vodka has adorned the back covers of "Art-In-America," "Artforum," "Art and Auction," "Sothebys Preview," "Scientific American," "WIRED," "Technology Review," "ArtByte," and "New York Magazine," He is author of two monographs: "Laurence Gartel: A Cybernetic Romance," published by Gibbs Smith, Layton, Utah, 1989 "GARTEL: Arte & Tecnologia" published by Edizioni Mazzotta, Milan, Italy 1998. GARTEL has a permanent installation at the Miami International Airport, Concourse F.
