Cultural Portraits of India is the work of Lindsay Hebberd, a photographer who has traveled throughout the subcontinent recording everyday life and festivals, and people from all levels of society, over a period of many years. Because of her intimate knowledge of the country, Hebberd was able to work in areas that are normally restricted.

Cultural Portraits of India is the work of Lindsay Hebberd, a photographer who has
traveled throughout the subcontinent recording everyday life and festivals, and people from
all levels of society, over a period of many years. Because of her intimate knowledge of
the country, Hebberd was able to work in areas that are normally restricted. The
exhibition coincides with an Indian festival in the Valley.
ASU Art Museum Presentation
Organized by Marilyn Zeitlin, Lindsay Hebberd: Cultural Portraits from India will be
installed in the Turk Gallery of the Arizona State University Art Museum's Nelson Fine
Arts Center location.

On Friday, May 17, the ASU Art Museum will present an opening reception for Lindsay
Hebberd: Cultural Portraits from India from 7 - 9pm at the Arizona State University Art Museum's Nelson Fine Arts Center location.
Lindsay Hebberd: Cultural Portraits of India (May 18 - August 11, 2002) is open Tuesday
from 10am - 9pm, Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday from 1pm to
5pm.
Museum Location
The Museum is located on the Main Campus
of Arizona State University. This map shows the Museum
facility relative to the campus and main streets in Tempe,
AZ. The ASU Art Museum is housed in the Nelson Fine
Arts Center. The Museum now has 10 reserved parking
spaces located in the P2 (Tempe Center) lot on the
10th street side immediately adjacent to the 2nd driveway
opening. Please sign in at the museum lobby front desk
when parking in the reserved spaces.
