Mobile Home is pleased to present the first solo exhibition in London of new
work by Gary Rough.
The exhibition comprises of photographic works, texts and compilations of
objects, which often depict or allude to a story or event. Fiction plays a
large role in this work and the lies or illusions therein. Rough works
closely with humour and also uses the guile of 'only joking' to uncover a
larger myth of what the 'artist' can make you believe. His artworks often
seem to promise, or want to make you give credence to, something you know is
not true.
Recent shows include 'Shot in the Head' Lisson Gallery, London, 'Free Coke'
Greene Naftali, New York, 'G3NY' Casey Kaplan, New York, 'Absolut Blue and
