J'ai Perdu La Fin!!! Conversation event and book launch
J'ai Perdu La Fin!!! A Broadway 1602 and Sternberg Press publication. Conversation event and book launch. With Anka Ptaszkowska, Dan Graham, Babette Mangolte, Patrick Komorowski, Monika Szczukowska and Anke Kempkes. Edward Krasinski (1925-2004) was one of the most artistically charismatic protagonists of the post-war Polish avant-garde. The frequently used notion of Conceptualism to define Krasinski's work does not reach far enough to cover the formal, theoretical and experimental dimensions of his oeuvre, - and at this conclusion there is a surplus in Krasinski's work which remains untouched by definition. The show in Broadway 1602 (until February 19 2011) presents the photographic body of work of Kossakowksi in alteration with sculptural objects by Krasinski as one complex spatial installation. Parallels the exhibition "On Line: Drawing Through the Twentieth Century" at the Museum of Modern Art, presenting a reconstruction of Edward Krasinski's installation for the Tokyo Biennale in 1970. (November 21, 2010 - February 7, 2011)
